SEONG YOON LEE:
Seong Yoon Lee was a Buddhist Monk for 10 years.
He first learned to practice yoga from his master in the temple in 1993.
He later traveled to India, Nepal, Tibet, and China in order to broaden
his scope of understanding of yoga and meditation. He merged his talents
with Katherine Jenkins to form Om Shanti Yoga School in 2002 near Seoul,
Korea. Realizing that he could touch more people by living a regular life,
he and Katherine married in 2003, and continued to expand Om Shanti Yoga
School. He has taught his mindful practice of yoga to people of many different
backgrounds and nationalities. Seong Yoon received formal yoga training
from Kaivalyadahma Yoga Institute in Lonavla, India and has been practicing
Vipassana meditation in the tradition of S.N. Goenka of India since 1996.
His yoga school was featured in a documentary on a major Korean television
network. In February 2006, Seong Yoon and Katherine relocated to the Seattle
area to form “Om at Home” where he hopes to continue to bring
mindfulness and peace to all of those who seek it.
